2010 Helen Farnsworth Mears Art Program
This contest is unique to GFWC-WI and has been in existence since 1927 to honor this exceptional female artist from the Appleton area.  
The annual art competition is to encourage and recognize artistic development and achievement among the state's 7th and 8th grade
students.
Seventeen students from Central Middle School and St.
Kilians participated in the  Helen Mears 7th & 8th grade
art contest.  Pam Brandt, art teacher at Central Middle
School, and Ellen Conley, art teacher at St Kilian School,
coordinated the contests at their respective schools.  

The following students were honored and awarded
Scoop de Ville gift certificates.  Their artwork was also
displayed there during the month of March.

  • 1st Place:  Caitlyn Josten, Central Middle School
  • 2nd Place:  Catherine Grundy, Central Middle  
  • 3rd Place: Brenna Utz and Alec Huber , Central
    Middle School; Allison Beine, St Kilian School
  • Honorable Mention: Lizzy Krupski,Central Middle
    School; Anna Horst and Allison Guyer, St Kilian
    School
